Training

Tailor-made

Most of the training we deliver is tailer-made. We design learning programs that fit exactely our clients needs, their unique situation, people and expectations. On this website you'll find many examples of training programs which we have developed. Consider them to be a sample of what we can do. They are not one-size-fits-all solutions, but can be a source of inspiration and a basis for our meeting.

Fun

One thing you'll find at all training and workshops run by Propellor: our working method. People learn best when they are in a positive mood, when they are enjoying themselves. That's when they explore new lines of thought, when they feel save to experiment with new behaviour. So we make sure people have a good time with us.

The last two decades much research has been done into the functioning of our brain, and how we learn fastest. We use these insights in our training programs, so that you not only learn new theory, but especially put in into practise immediately. Only if you behave differently, or view things from a new perspective, you have learned something in the training. That is our point of view.

So when working with Propellor, expect to get pleasant days, rich in content, full of activity and with immediate applicability!

    

Brainfriendly learning

Of course pleasure is only the way to get there, it is not an aim on itself. That aim - learning that brings about change - is the focus of our attention all of the time. The insights researchers have gained the last ten or twenty years teach us important lessons about adult learning, and how to build learning experiences with lasting effect. We at Propellor apply these principles by using techniques from Accelerated Learning. An example? Priming is one of them: initiating the learning process by providing learners with interesting material early on, so that our brain starts by building 'hooks' on which later more knowledge is added. Another example? Allowing regular time for drawing up action plans (how will I apply this new knowledge / these new skills?), and by plenty of focussed, group learning activities.

Business coaching

A sportsman/woman has a coach to help him excel. That coach helps him/her to be mentally ready to withstand stressfull situations. In Anglo-Saxon countries it has been accepted for some years now that a CEO or a manager can benefit enormously from coaching. Propellors provides personal coaching for people so that they can excell in their company.

Return on Investment

Central in the learning experience (whether a formal training session or coaching) is the learning process of the participant. It is om him (or her) that the focus of our learning program will be: he has to learn, to develop. The whole program is set up to allow participants to acquire new insights, new skills, and translate them to their daily work, to the real situation in which they can apply them and benefit from them.
